South Africa has excellent legislation which safeguards the human rights of every citizen, beginning with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and reaching into legislation governing all aspects of life.

However, much of this legislation is not enforced when it comes to disability rights, causing people with disabilities to experience continued discrimination, victimisation and prejudice.

We are regularly invited to give input into current legislation, and encourage any person with a disability who has experienced discrimination of any kind, to join with us in making sure the benefits of our legislation reach all persons with disabilities, no matter where they are.
