Margaret Carelse is our Touws River community worker. She has a very caring heart and a passion for helping people with disabilities in her community, earning her the name of ‘Mother Margaret’.
It was when Margaret attended a training opportunity, #MoreThan, that she voiced her very big dream.
Next to her family home, there’s an unused piece of land.
Margaret’s dream is to fill that space with a bungalow (or Nutec home) where she could accommodate and care for community members with disabilities.
If Margaret’s dream could be realised, it would make a very valuable resource for our Breede Valley branch, and an extra facility for people needing care in that community.
Every day we see how good people help to make dreams come true, even the biggest dreams. Margaret certainly has our backing as she waits for those good people to come forward.
