Tembaletu Workshop

Joining the team this month at Tembaletu Workshop is Thembaletu Chief Maqungo. He has been an artist since an early age but, growing up with his grandmother under difficult circumstances, no one recognised his gift. Ironically, it took a 17 year prison sentence for his talents to be fine tuned and discovered! Whilst serving time he called out to God about his purpose in life and God opened the way for him to use his abilities as an artist. Today, Thembaletu serves in his church – Hillsong Gugulethu – and wants to use his special gifts to be a blessing to his community whilst generating an income. He is developing several of Tembaletu Workshop’s clients in the art of model making and in turn, maybe, helping them to discover their hidden talents also!
