Transporting children with a disability from home to places where they can benefit from our service and back again
is a huge responsibility
Every child deserves and has the right to be transported safely in a vehicle. But the reality is that safety seats for all ages and stages are hugely expensive, and we’re unable to fully manage that cost.
In our Quantum, we currently use the chair part of buggies to secure children. But it’s far from ideal, as the straps are around the body, and not over the shoulders as is needed.
Right now we have a need for 13 seats – mostly for children with cerebral palsy. But all our children need the safety of being fully strapped into a chair.
Perhaps you have one or know someone else whose child’s car chair has been outgrown. Any donated pre-loved chair in good working order would be such a help. Any donations made by clicking here towards buying new chairs would also take us forward in providing transport safety for our children with disabilities.
